Jamshedpur, Dec. 12: The second day of the two-day workshop on RUSA, NAAC and AISHE concluded at the Jamshedpur Women’s College on Saturday. The first day of the workshop was held at the Kolhan University, Chaibasa, on Friday.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Kolhan University vice-chancellor R R Singh. Addressing the gathering today, the vice-chancellor emphasized on the relevance of workshop. He stated that this workshop in meant to bring about awareness regarding RUSA for its stakeholders.
At the same time, he expressed concern regarding the lack of adequate teaching and non-teaching staff in the colleges and even in the university. Nevertheless, he stressed on working with limited resources and striving towards excellence.
On this occasion the pro vice-chancellor Dr Shukla Mohanty enlightened the gathering about the aims and objectives of RUSA. The resource persons on the occasion, Sambhu Dayal Singh, Nitesh Raj and Dr. Sunit Kumar highlighted the schemes of RUSA and the functioning of the scheme at the college level.
They also held an interactive session with the participants and clarified their doubts. The workshop witnessed the participation of members of NAAC and RUSA from 16 institutions.
These institutions included XITE, Gamharia, Patamda Degree College, Bahragora College, Bahragora, Jain College, Jamshedpur, B.D.S.L. Mahila College, Ghatshila, L.B.S.M. College, Jamshedpur, Co-operative College Jamshedpur, Karim City College, Jamshedpur, Graduate School and College for Women, Jamshedpur, Ghatshila College, Ghatshila, A.B.M. College, Jamshedpur, PG Department, Kolhan University, S.B. College, Chandil, J.K.S. College Jamshedpur, Jamshedpur Women’s College, Jamshedpur, Jamshedpur Worker’s College, Jamshedpur.
