Two-day Sastha Preeti celebrations commence

Jamshedpur, Feb 3: The two-day Sastha Preeti festival commenced at the Sri Dharma Sastha Temple on Saturday, February 3, with havan for Maha Ganapati in the morning.  Later the visiting Ved Pandits installed Kalash for all the presiding deities and performed Mahanyasa Poorvaka Ekadasha Rudra Poorna Abhishek for Sri Dharma Sastha, Sri Maha Ganapati and Sri Karthik.  The temple priests comprising Sri Mohit Sharma, Sri Akash Sharma and Sri Priyanshu Sharma performed the Maha Aarti. The managing committee members distributed Prasad to thousands of devotees.

In the evening, after the performance of Maha Deeparadhana, a Shobha Yatra was taken out with decorated idols of Sri Maha Ganapati, Sri Karthik and Sri Dharma Sastha in Bistupur locality in which hundreds of devotees participated.

Legislator Saryu Roy visited the temple where he was honoured by Sri P N Sankaran, Working President of the temple. Local South Indian Bhajan Group, Acharya Bhakta Sabha rendered devotional songs.
