Two convicted in Burmamines murder case

Jamshedpur: The court of ADJ (IV) of Jamshedpur Civil Court pronounced two persons, identified as Soni Devi and her alleged paramour Niranjan Rai, guilty in a murder case on Wednesday.

The convicts had killed Om Prakash Rewani, husband of Soni Devi, of Kanchannagar under Burmamines police station area on 26th September in the year 2014.

An FIR was lodged in this connection by the elder brother of the deceased Surendra Rewani, a resident of Dhanbad. Om Prakash was married to Soni seven years ago.

He lived with his in-laws at their house. His body was found hanging in a room.

His body however bore injury marks at several places giving indications that it was a case of murder. Niranjan Rai was the tenant of the deceased.
