Two arrested for �extorting� Chamber president

Jamshedpur: City police arrested two youths on charges of demanding extortion from Mohan Lal Agrawal, president of Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce Mohanlal Agrawal. They have seized a brand new vehicle from the possession of the accused persons.

The case came to light with Agrawal lodging a police complaint against an anonymous caller for demanding Rs 15 lakh from him in extortion over phone.

Those arrested were identified as Sunny Sinha and Santosh Kumar Das. Cops are searching for one Rakesh Babadur Singh, resident of Birsanagar, in connection with this case. They suspect Rakesh is involved in the extortion case with the arrested duo.

Police officials said they were investigating into the incident. They suspect the role of city-based gangsters in the crime.
