Tuition teacher rapes minor at Mango, absconding

Jamshedpur: A minor girl was allegedly raped by her tuition teacher in Baikunthnagar under Mango police station area.

She was physically exploited several times and subjected to abortion, said Mango police officials on Tuesday after lodging an FIR against the accused teacher on the victim�s complaint.

Cops said the accused is at large. They said they had conducted raids at the residence of the accused several times, but failed to get him. The victim�s family members said the accused, identified as Partha Das, had raped the class X girl after promising to marry her.

Later, the teacher got married elsewhere. On coming to know about the marriage, the girl reached police and lodged an FIR against the accused.

The victim said she had been taking tuitions from Partha Das since 2011.
