Ranchi girl tops Jharkhand, 71.95% clear JAC Intermediate exam

Ranchi, June 20: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) declared the Class 12 Intermediate Arts Result 2017 on Tuesday.

JAC Chairman Arvind Prasad Singh announced the result. The overall pass percentage is 71.95%. The pass percentage of boys is 69.19% and for girls it is 74.02%. Khunti district bagged the top spot in Jharkhand.

The Arts examination was conducted for 1,85,551 students of which 9859 students bagged the first division, 88921 students got second division while 34725 students were third. Total of 1,33,507 students cleared the exam.
The overall pass percentage in Intermediate Arts exam has dipped by 2 per cent.

Anshu Toppo, the daughter of a driver, scored 84.6% to become the topper in this year’s arts intermediate examinations of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC). Anshu a resident of Ranchi and a student of the city’s St. Anne’s Intermediate College scored 423 marks. Vaishnavi of Ursuline Convent was the second state topper with 418 marks.

Results for Jharkhand Academic Board (JAC) class 12 Science and Commerce was declared on May 30. The pass percentage for JAC Inter Science 2017 is 52.35 percent this year compared to last year’s 58 percent and the pass percentage of Jharkhand Class 12 Commerce students this year is 60.09 percent compared to last year’s 62 percent.

A total of 3,26,107 students across Jharkhand wrote their Intermediate exams from Feb 18 � Mar 9, 2017 across 444 centres.
