Jamshedpur : Tata Steel Adventure Foundation(TSAF) organised adventure camp in Manali for families and kids of the city.
The programme was designed with loads of adventure, fun and masti. It was well received by participants.
Activities included: trekking, rafting, rappelling, camping, self cooking, fun games, obstacles course, etc
The unique programme was organised under the leadership of Premlata Agrawal with an aim to help the participants understand themselves better. The objective of this trek was to focus on ‘Development’ of the human potential through teamwork.
Leading by example, Premlata Agrawal is an image of women’s new-found identity. Premlata is also into training women in physical and mental fitness through yoga and other exercises. Ever since, Premlata’s motivation has soared, she unflinchingly took up the dream challenge of every mountaineer to climb the tallest peak in the world She has undertaken many adventure expeditions. Capping the glory after the rigors, grill and lurking dangers, Mt. Everest.
Her grit, determination and above all, her-self motivation is a lesson for all and she is a role model for all ages and all generations.
Apart from setting foot on the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest on May 20, 2011, she has also scaled Island Peak (20,600 ft.) in Nepal in 2004, Karakoram Pass (18,300 ft) and Mt. Stok Kangri (20,150 ft) in 2006, Mount Kilimanjaro in South Africa in 2008and this year, Mt Aconcagua in South America.
These apart, she was a member of the Thar Desert Expedition which involved a rigorous 40 day camel trek along the international border from the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat to the Wagah Border in Punjab.
This major feat in 2007 has found a place in the Limca Book of Records.
