Jamshedpur, August 14: RAF 106 Battalion paid homage to the Bravehearts who sacrificed their lives in defence and for ensuring unity of the nation at a function organized at its Sundarnagar camp on Monday on the occasion of celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with the twin campaigns, ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga.’
Commandant of the 106 Battalion, Dr Nishith Kumar along with all the other officers and personnel of the unit, veterans, freedom fighters and local villagers joined in offering their respects to the heroes by offering an urn containing soil collected from different areas of the locality. The veterans and freedom fighters present on the occasion were honored.
An Amrit Kalash was presented to Anjali District Youth Officer as a token of appreciation for the organization’s proactive efforts.
The program aimed to commemorate the sacrifices made by the heroes to ensure the nation’s integrity and unity. It also aimed to foster a sense of national unity and patriotism within society. The event highlighted the dedication of these martyrs towards maintaining the nation’s strength.
