Jamshedpur: Religious organization, Ati Uttam Shakti Pariwar, traditionally performed Rudrabhishek of Ati Uttam Tri Shakti Shila with waters brought from the rivers’ confluence at Sonari, Baroda Ghat and Mango Swarnrekha River. Founder and chief priest Bhakt Raja Surya Dev Uttam Parmahans performed the prayers that commenced at 7 am on Thursday.
The function marked the commencement of the annual Navratra Utsav on Thursday at Jai Mata Di Mandir in Harharguttu which coincides with Amavasya or the dark phase of the moon. On the concluding day of Navratra on Wednesday, February 24, Hawan will be performed.
Bhakt Raja informed on the occasion, “The prayers that have commenced today are being offered to Jagat Putri Raje Rajeshwari Raj Kumari Ma Ati Uttameshwari and is a 13 day event. The prayers are being held for the peace and prosperity of the country and her citizens. The prayers and Hawan will purify the environment and rid the earth of coronavirus.”
Bhakti Raja Surya Dev Uttam Parmahans added, “Rudra Puja is an age old tradition. Rudrabhishek can be performed any time and it is believed that it bodes well for everyone.”
Devotees have been coming to the Mandir from far and near but with strict social distancing norms in place, crowding has been prevented. Volunteers are ensuring that all devotees are wearing masks. Hand sanitizers are being provided in and round the temple complex.
