Training on blood safety concludes

Jamshedpur : The participants of the three days training programme on blood safety for staff nurses were enlightened about the handling and disposal of bio-medical waste, component separation and preparation on the concluding day on Wednesday.

Principles of Elisa and Rapid Testing by Dr Vineetha Kamath, Medical Officer, Jamshedpur Blood Bank. Nalini Rammmurthy Honorary Secretary and Raveen Dugal Joint Honorary Secretary, Jamshedpur Blood Bank attended the valedictory session distributed certificates to all twenty participants.

All trainees praised the modules but expressed their concern about very limited resources and different constraints at their work places.

The next batch of training ill start from 21st of November for three days wherein twenty Medical Officers of different blood bank will participate.

Dr Prasun Bhattacharya, HOD Kolkata Medical College, Transfusion Medicine Department will impart training to the Medical Officers.
