Traffic jam in Jharkhand’s Chouparan due to surge of Prayagraj Mahakumbh devotees

Hazaribagh, February 17: There are long queues of vehicles in Chauparan, Jharkhand due to the huge crowd of devotees of Prayagraj Mahakumbh. There is a queue of vehicles about 20 kilometers long from Pandabara to Barhi main square on NH-2 (GT Road).

Due to the large number of buses and private vehicles of devotees going to Mahakumbh and returning, there is a long queue of vehicles on the road. Thousands of people are stranded in vehicles.

Thousands of passengers are stranded in their vehicles. At some places the width of GT Road is less. At the same time there is excessive pressure of vehicles.

Due to this the situation has become even more complicated. Police and administration teams are engaged in removing the jam.

The administration has deployed additional police force and is considering diverting the traffic to alternative routes. Local people have also come forward to help the stranded passengers.

Some villagers and shopkeepers are helping the passengers

They are providing water and food items to the people.

Traffic police has appealed to drivers to be patient and follow traffic rules. Administration has also appealed to local people for cooperation so that traffic can be normalized as soon as possible.
