Traders take out procession for kidnapped trader

Jamshedpur: The trade and business community have expressed their anger over the alleged kidnap of iron trader Bhagwan Das Gupta.

The traders took out a torchlight procession at Kharangajhar, Telco to air the anger over the incident. The procession was taken out at Kharangajhar market under the banner of Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce.

In a press note the chamber president Mohanlal Agrawal said that city traders are being targeted by criminals in the midst of total collapse of law-and-order machinery.

“If police do not disclose the whereabouts of the kidnapped trader the Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce would step up its agitation,” he said. The agitation also got the support of the city BJP leaders.

On the occasion district council member Ganesh Solanki flayed the incident and insisted that the police must crack the mystery immediately and trace the trader without further delay.

Other members of the Chamber including Ravishankar Pandey, Harbinder Singh Mantu, Vikash Agarwal, Anil Srivastav participated in the agitation.
