Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce and traders of Parsudih Mandi here on Tuesday announced to observe an indefinite bandh from 28th September in protest of a recent cash loot incident.
The traders of Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti at Parsudih said the agitation was called against the failure of police to arrest the culprits in the incident of loot of cash worth Rs 6.50 lakh from city trader Prabhu Dayal Agrawal and his son Rahul Agrawal nine days ago. The looters had robbed Prabhu Dayal, a trader of rice, pulses and oil, at gun point at the Mandi.
On the first day of bandh, the traders will hold a demonstration before Parusih police station around 11.30 am. This was informed by Mohan Lal Agrawal, president of Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce. He said the decision to gherao the PS was taken unanimously in a meeting of the traders held on the Mandi premises this evening.
Traders further informed that their delegation will meet Kolhan DIG on 29th September to demand arresting of the looters and security for traders.
