Traders geared up to meet Tricolor requirement expectations

25 crore houses in India to hoist National Flag: CAIT

Jamshedpur, Aug 4: During Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, every household in the country is competing to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign creating a much in patriotic and competitive environment across the country to buy the Tricolor flag. The impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to put Tricolor in every house is being seen across the country, due to which there is no dearth of Tricolor flag across the country ensuring the grand success of this campaign. Flood of tricolor is visible in the markets.

National President of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) National Secretary Suresh Sonthalia informed that according to an estimate, more than 25 crore houses across the country are likely to have the tricolor. Around July 23, there was a stock of about 4 crore tricolor flags across the country, but in the last about 12 days, about 10 crore flags have been prepared day and night by traders, textile mills and all other means and are fully geared up to meet the flag requirement expectations. It is expected that before August 15, about 30 crore flags will be ready across the country and from August 13 to August 15, the tricolor will be seen waving everywhere in the country. They said that this would be the first time after independence when the whole country would be seen standing together to celebrate the pride of the tricolor and the independence of the country.

Sonthalia said that in this direction CAIT on a very large scale made strenuous efforts in the states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh to ensure availability of flags all over the Country and still large number of people are engaged in preparing the tricolor flag is going on.
