Jamshedpur, Aug 22: �Tata Main Hospital (TMH) provides the best medical treatment and facilities in Eastern India including the states of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. The Hospital has not been established and modernized for profit but is dedicated by the Tata organization for service to suffering mankind. It is an invaluable gift to and for the people,� said Jharkhand Aam Mazdoor Union (JAMU) vice president and patron of Agrawal Samaj Foundation Kamal Kishor Agrawal in a press communiqu�.
Agrawal stated that TMH is dedicated to the employees and citizens of Jamshedpur. He said that people not only from the city but also from other parts of Eastern India came to TMH for treatment of various diseases. �The specialty of TMH is all round care but in terms of ICU and Pediatrics it is second to none. People are assured of superior quality treatment at TMH,� he mentioned in the communiqu�.
Kamal Kishor Agrawal lamented that on several occasions it had been observed that patients were brought in to the Hospital at the last stage as a result of which the death rate was high. �Nobody can prevent death in such situations.�
The JAMU vice president expressed resentment and anger over the rowdy acts by a segment of people at TMH to show their resentment. He stated, �These acts make the people of Jamshedpur bow their heads in shame. They fail to realize that during these threatening COVID-19 times, the doctors, nurses and sanitary workers leave their homes and families behind and risk their lives while treating patients. Those who point accusing fingers towards the TMH should have a look around other hospitals and treatment centres and only then will they realize what a gem of a service is rendered at TMH.�
Agrawal mentioned that the Tatas had ensured that more than 50 lakh people got food during the lockdown period and after. �Such acts of hooliganism only demoralized the doctors, nurses, sanitary workers and other staff who have been giving their honest, sincere and yeomen service to an ailing mankind. Instead a little consideration towards them would go a long way in boosting their confidence and morale,� Kamal Agrawal said.
