Jamshedpur: As part of the continuing medical education (CME) programme, an update on Pathology was jointly organised by the Department of Pathology, Tata Main Hospital and Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM) Jamshedpur branch of Jharkhand chapter.
Sunil Bhaskaran, deputy vice president, corporate services, Tata Steel, inaugurated the two-day programme at TMH auditorium while Lt Gen, Dr G Ramdas, Chief, Tata Main Hospital chaired the event. Physicians and pathologists from Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and TMH hospital attended the programme.
The topics chosen for the event were of clinical relevance, keeping in view the advancements in Hematology and Biochemistry. Guest speakers for the event included Dr. (Col.) Deepak Kumar Mishra, Secretary, IAPM, HOD, Pathology & Lab Sciences, Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, Dr. Neeraj Arora, Hematologist & In charge, molecular diagnostics, TMC, Kolkata, Suresh Babu, General Manager, Scientific division, Agappe Diagnostics.
