Jharkhand: Peaceful polling in Naxal-affected regions

Jamshedpur: As the democratic exercise unfolds across the region, areas historically afflicted by Naxal insurgency witnessed a remarkably peaceful polling process. Urban centers, including Chaibasa in West Singhbhum and Adityapur-Gamharia in Seraikela, were abuzz with enthusiastic voters exercising their franchise for the Singhbhum Lok Sabha seat.

In the midst of bustling polling stations and bustling streets, residents echoed a resolute commitment to democratic participation. “We never evade our responsibility to vote in any election, whether parliamentary, assembly, or municipal. Every member of our extended family dedicates the necessary time for voting, understanding that every vote contributes to the establishment of a strong and reliable government,” said a voter.

Notably, in areas such as Saranda and Goelkera-Sonua, where remnants of Naxal influence linger, the polling process unfolded without incident. This peace was upheld through the vigilant presence of police and paramilitary forces, maintaining maximum alertness to safeguard the sanctity of the electoral process.
