Jamshedpur: The martyrdom day of the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj, was observed at Tinplate Gurudwara Sahib on Thursday. Religious congregations were organized to commemorate the Guru’s supreme sacrifice, drawing a large number of devotees from across the city.
Devotees paid their respects and reaffirmed their commitment to following the path of truth, compassion, and service as preached by the Guru. Following the religious proceedings, Guru Ka Langar was served to the congregation.
The Tinplate Gurudwara Management Committee constituted a new executive committee to strengthen the religious, social, and community service activities of the Gurudwara Sahib. Under the new structure, Surjit Singh Khushipura was appointed President, Jaspal Singh Kanhaiya as General Secretary, and Manjit Singh Sandhu as Cashier. Balwant Singh Shero, Gurcharan Singh Billa, and Ravindra Singh Bajwa were named Executive Presidents. Members of the newly formed committee pledged to work for the welfare of the Gurudwara Sahib and the Sikh community.
