Recruitment Open for Dependents of Tinplate Division Employees; Apply by January 20

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Technical Services Limited (TSTSL) has invited online applications for the recruitment of eligible dependents of current and former employees working in the Tinplate Division. As per an official circular issued by the company, vacancies are available across several technical trades, and interested candidates can apply online till January 20, 2026.

The recruitment drive is exclusively meant for dependents of employees who are currently serving in the Tinplate Division or have retired from it. The company clarified that if a dependent has already been appointed under an employee’s quota, no further applications from the same employee’s family will be considered.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) and possess NTC/STC along with NAC (National Apprentice Certificate) in one of the following technical trades:

  • Fitter
  • Electrician
  • Electronics
  • Mechanic
  • Machinist
  • Turner
  • Welder
  • Mechatronics

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as on January 5, 2026.

Eligibility of Family Members

The following dependents of current or former Tinplate Division employees are eligible to apply:

  • Son
  • Daughter
  • Husband
  • Wife
  • Son-in-law (only if the employee has no son)

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of:

  1. Online written examination
  2. Personal interview
  3. Medical examination (for candidates qualifying the written test and interview)

Post Details and Appointment Terms

  • Candidates with more than three years of experience will be appointed as Assistant Technical-I (C) on a six-month probation period.
  • Candidates with less than three years of experience will be engaged as Technical Trainees for a one-year training period.

Permanent appointment will be considered only after successful completion of the probation or training period, as applicable.

Strict Action for False Information

The company has warned that submission of false documents or incorrect information will lead to immediate cancellation of the application. In such cases, disciplinary action will also be initiated against the concerned employee, who will permanently lose the right to claim employment for any dependent in the future.
