Jamshedpur, March 23: Taking a firm stand on delays, South Eastern Railway General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra conducted a detailed inspection of Tatanagar Railway Station on Monday, with a sharp focus on the under-construction parking facility. During the visit, he issued a clear warning to the executing agency, directing them to expedite the work and ensure its completion at the earliest. He emphasized that any further delay would invite strict action.
The inspection revealed that the absence of a well-organized parking system has been significantly affecting the progress of the main station building project.
Unregulated vehicle movement and congestion around the premises have emerged as major bottlenecks, slowing down construction activities. Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the General Manager interacted with railway officials and on-ground workers to understand the technical and logistical challenges hindering progress.
Mishra instructed concerned officials and the executing agency to immediately address these issues and streamline the workflow.
He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to remove obstacles and maintain construction timelines.
His directive reflects the railway administration’s intent to fast-track infrastructure upgrades and improve passenger convenience.
Accompanied by senior railway officials, the GM carried out a thorough review of ongoing development works across multiple sections of the station premises.
He assessed the quality and pace of construction while urging officials to ensure strict adherence to deadlines and standards.
Following this strong intervention, there is renewed optimism that the long-pending parking facility will soon take shape.
Once completed, the new parking arrangement is expected to ease traffic congestion, improve accessibility, and enhance the overall commuter experience at Tatanagar Station.
The visit underscores the commitment to modernizing key stations and ensuring that infrastructure development keeps pace with growing passenger demands.
