Jamshedpur: Steel Strip Wheels Limited’s Seraikela Rolling Mill unit organised two-day cricket tournament at Cable Workers Ground. In the final match played on Sunday, Team Tiger XI defeated Panther XI by five runs.
Kapil Saraswat and Honey Parihar’s partnership scored 60 runs but couldn’t cross the line. Saroj Biswal for his all-round performance was accorded the man of the series. Honey Parihar for his outstanding bowling took three wickets.
The winner and runners-up team were awarded by plant head Kapil Saraswat and extended warm wishes for New Year. Total of four teams participated in the tournament. Team Lion XI was led by Sudhir Singh, Tiger XI by Surinder Singh, Eagle XI by Prem Chand and Panther XI by Kapil Saraswat.
