Jamshedpur, July 19: Drizzle was recorded at various places across Jharkhand, including Kolhan, on Friday. However, Jamshedpur experienced bright sunshine since morning, with the maximum temperature reaching 34.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 26.6 degrees. The city received 0.8 mm of rain between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Palamu recorded the highest temperature of 37.6 degrees.
On Saturday, the southern part of Jharkhand, including Kolhan, is expected to experience thunderstorms and heavy rain. The Meteorological Department’s Ranchi Center, headed by Dr. Abhishek Anand, forecast heavy rain for East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Saraikela-Kharsawan.
Between July 20 and 22, the entire state is likely to witness heavy rainfall. Specifically, on July 22, heavy rain is anticipated in the southern and central parts of the state, including Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Khunti, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Saraikela-Kharsawan. Rain is also expected on July 23, with less likelihood of precipitation in the northern regions. Thunderstorms are also possible during this period.
