Three women among five injured in elephant attack

Jamshedpur, May 30: Elephant created ruckus on Saturday morning attacking two children among seven members of a family in Gerua-Chirugoda Village under Bodam Police Station in Patamda on the outskirts of Jamshedpur.

All the injured were soon rushed to MGM Hospital were two of them are reported to be serious. Injured include Vishnu Sahis, Budhu Sahis, Gyanti Sahis, Vandana Sahis and Sumitra Sahis.

Narrating the incident, Forester Ravindra Kumar said that an elephant lost his way from Dalma Hills and entered a house in the village and attacked the family members.

However two of the children were sent home after first aid. Kumar further informed that the injured were taken to hospital on forest department�s vehicle and among the five injured three are women and one of them is pregnant, added forester.
