Three teams set up to crack Kadma murder case

Jamshedpur: City police set up three teams to probe into the brutal killing of the 38 year old woman, Jharna Maity, wife of Kinshuk Maity, who was found dead in her Kadma apartment yesterday.

Police sources said the three teams are conducting probe into the killing by visiting various locations including Sonari and Kadma to get clues into the homicide. They suspect the woman was assaulted criminally before being killed, sources said.

Jharna Maity was found dead in Sahara Complex under Kadma police station area in the evening. The ghastly incident came to light when Kinshuk Maity returned to his flat in the evening. He found the door of his house open and lights off inside.

When Kinshuk went in, he found his wife lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Cops reached the apartment on his intimation.

Investigators so far suspect the hand of very close relatives in the homicide. They said the killers could be close relatives since the deceased was not the one, according to her husband, to open the door for strangers. They said the woman was killed in cold blood with sharp weapons.

Cops could not find the death weapon at the crime scene. They cordoned off the crime scene and questioned several people including the husband of the deceased about the possible causes behind the incident.

Senior police officials had yesterday visited the crime scene and conducted a probe into the killing. They said they were looking for leads into the killing.
