Three murders shock Deoghar in 72 hours

Deoghar, Dec 6: Criminal activities in Baba Nagri, also known as Deoghar in Jharkhand, have taken a disturbing turn, presenting a serious challenge to local law enforcement. The city witnessed a third consecutive murder incident on Wednesday, sending shockwaves through the community. A chaat seller fell victim to a fatal shooting by criminals at Bhurbhura turn in the Rikhiya police station area of Deoghar.

Upon receiving information about the incident, SDPO Pawan Kumar promptly arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation. The victim, identified as Jaddu Maharaj, operated a chaat shop at Bhurbhura Chowk. The assailants targeted him while he was setting up his chaat shop in the morning, resulting in his immediate demise. Three shell casings were recovered from the crime scene.

SDPO Pawan Kumar stated that the criminals fired bullets, leading to Jaddu Maharaj’s tragic death. Ongoing investigations are underway, and further details will be revealed as the inquiry progresses. Rohit Kumar, the deceased’s son, recounted that he received a call from local residents while he was away selling his cart in the morning. The call conveyed the shocking news that his father had been attacked and shot. Upon reaching the scene, he discovered the tragic loss of his father.
