Ranchi: Three of a family were drowned in a pond in Vashishthanagar Jori police station area of Chatra on Friday.
Sources said the incident occurred in Khajuria pond. First Kamlesh Kumar, 15, jumped into the pond in an attempt to end his life.
His mother Dauratia Devi jumped after him to save him from drowning. Police have registered a case of unnatural deaths in this connection.
