Jamshedpur, Feb 25: A comprehensive three-day program delving into the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and the inception of the Ramakrishna Mission was organized in Jamshedpur. The first session, held from 9 am to 12 noon, featured discussions on the significance of strong character for spiritual enlightenment according to Swami Vivekananda, and the pivotal role played by Sanghajanani Shri Saradadevi in the early stages of the Ramakrishna Mission. Scholarly speakers including Swami Atmasradhananda, Swami Suddhidananda, Swami Achyutananda, and Dr. Somnath Bhattacharya emphasized the importance of holistic development for character building and acknowledged the crucial contributions of Shri Saradadevi to the Ramakrishna Mission.

In the second session, organized from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, discussions revolved around Swami Vivekananda’s teachings on the divinity of the soul, the means and ends of spiritual life, and his role as the messenger of Ramakrishna’s teachings. Notable speakers such as Dr. Arijit Sarkar, Swami Muktidananda, Swami Mahapragyananda, and Swami Nirvikarananda elaborated on Vivekananda’s messages and his dedication to spreading the ideals of Ramakrishna Mission.
The concluding session featured cultural performances by renowned artistes, including Shastriya Sangeet (classical music) by Pandit Amiya Ranjan Bandopadhyay, and a mesmerizing Jugalbandi by Pandit Samar Saha, Suprabhat Bhattacharya, Navagata Bhattacharya, Arijit Banerjee, and Sampriya Goswami. More than 500 people attended the cultural events celebrating the rich spiritual heritage championed by Swami Vivekananda and the Ramakrishna Mission.
