Three arrested for passport fraud

Jamshedpur: Kapali police today arrested three persons for allegedly getting two passports issued in the name of the same person through fraud.

The accused persons, identified as Mohammad Jamaluddin, Mohammad Ahtesam and Mohammad Sabir, were arrested after their names surfaced during an inquiry into the allegations by Seraikela-Kharsawan police.

The SDPO of Seraikela-Kharsawan Vimal Kumar said one of the passports was issued in the name of Mohammad Jamaluddin as a resident of Baganshahi.

The second passport was issued to Jamaluddin at the address of one Mohammad Afaq Ahmad, resident of Bandugora, Kapali, he said.

The SDPO said an investigation into the passport fraud was on by the foreign branch of the district police.
