Jamshedpur, May 8: In connection with the recent firing incident near the CH area of Kapali Basti in the Sonari police station jurisdiction, three individuals have been sent to jail on Wednesday. The arrested individuals are identified as Akash Singh alias Batla, Sumit Singh, and Mohit Thakur. Notably, Akash Singh alias Batla has a history of criminal activities.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when a firing incident ensued between criminals in Kapali Basti, resulting in injuries to two individuals. Subsequently, the residents of the locality apprehended Akash Singh alias Batla, the alleged attacker, and handed him over to the police after administering a beating. Upon his arrest, the police recovered a pistol from him.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the firing incident was sparked by disputes over financial matters. It has been reported that Akash Singh alias Batla had ongoing conflicts with Abay Gope and Surya Hembram regarding monetary issues. Tensions between the parties had been escalating in the Sonari area in recent days. Allegedly, Abhay Gope and Surya Hembram were associated with Akash Singh alias Batla and were part of the same criminal gang.
As a result of the investigations, all three individuals involved in the firing incident have been apprehended and remanded to judicial custody.
