Thieves loot valuables worth lakhs from Jamshedpur home

Jamshedpur, Dec 12: A major theft occurred in the house of Rajiv Chaudhary, located near North Susnigadia Panchayat Bhawan in Parsudih, Jamshedpur, during the early hours of the morning at around 3:00 AM. The thieves broke into the house, which was unoccupied as the family had travelled to Samastipur, Bihar, for the first death anniversary of Chaudhary’s father. They managed to loot valuables, including cash and jewelry, amounting to an estimated two to three lakhs.

Vijay Kumar, Chaudhary’s nephew, who was staying at the house, discovered the theft after waking up. He mentioned that he had no idea when the theft occurred and was alerted by CCTV footage showing suspicious individuals around 3:00 AM. The police, including DSP Taukir Alam and Parsudih Police Station In-charge Faid Ahmed, arrived at the scene and began their investigation, focusing on nearby CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

The footage shows two youths who are now being questioned by the police. The investigation is on-going, and the family will provide details of the stolen items once they return from Bihar.
