Jamshedpur: A dramatic incident unfolded on Sunday morning near LBSM College, Karandih, when local residents foiled a burglary attempt. Two men had broken into a shop, but while one managed to flee, the other was caught red-handed by vigilant locals.
The captured thief was beaten by the crowd before being handed over to the police. He sustained facial injuries and was later rescued from the mob by the police. The shopkeeper said, “We had closed the shop on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, locals noticed unusual movement inside and caught the thief in the act.”
Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the absconding accomplice. The incident has left local traders and residents both angered and alarmed, highlighting growing concerns about security in the area.
