Jamshedpur/Baharagora, Mar 9: Thieves stole jewellery worth Rs 12 lakh from a jewellery shop in Manushmuria under Barsole thana of Baharagora block of East Singhbhum district on Tuesday morning.
According to shop owner, Shishir Rana, as usual he arrived at his shop at around 10.30 am and opened the shutters and kept the bag containing jewelleries in the shop and started cleaning the outside portion of the shop using a broom and while doing so went to the backside of the shop. On the basis of the CCTV footage it is being seen that a youth wearing blue jeans and full shirt came and took away the bag from and fled toward the Matihana Chakulia Main Road where another youth could be seen standing on a bike and both of them fled towards Baharagora.
Police are expecting to crack the case soon as the face of the youth can be seen clearly in the CCTV footage. As per the shopkeeper, the bag contained 6 kg of silver, 250 gram of gold and keys of the locker and documents of the shop. All these is estimated to cost over Rs 12 lakh in the market.
