Jamshedpur, April 29: Tata Football Academy�s (TFA) skipper Udanta Singh once again proved unstoppable in their final encounter of the Under-19 I-League match played at Keenan Stadium to give hosts a 4-0 victory over Hindustan FC on Tuesday and completed their formalities of bagging the championship title.
TFA side with four win on the trot have a lot to smile about after their disastrous 2013. The match kicked off and from the very early move TFA players were dominating, Skipper Udanta netted the first goal in the 36 min which was kicked which was taken on turn from 25 m. Udanta came back again in the 39 min to cross from left placed to goal. The first half ended with TFA leading 2-0.
Dominating the match in the second half Skipper Udanta netted a field goal in the 61 min to make it 3-0. In the 79 min scoring his fourth goal of the match Udanta made it 4-0 for TFA making it a comfortable win over Hindustan FC and helped clinch the title of U-19 I league. In another match Sesa Goa beat AIFF Navi Mumbai Academy by 3 goals to 1.
Neeraj Kant, MD (ISWP), Tata Steel was the Chief Guest in the morning for match between ShillongLajong FC and Navi Mumbai Academy at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Rajiv Kumar, PEO, Tata Steel was Chief Guest at Keenan Stadium at 4.00 PM & met the players of Tata Football Academy & Hindustan Football Club. Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran, VP (CS) also visited the ground. FarzanHeerjee, Chief (GR & Sports), Tata Steel was Chief Guest & Ramesh Mehta, VP (JFA) as Guest of Honour distributed the prizes to the winners. Renowned Juggler Mr. Uttam Das of Kolkata presented his programme with Football on the occasion.
