Jamshedpur, April 18: As part of Sri Sri Rama Navami celebrations, the Tinplate Andhra Club organized Sri Sita Ram Kalyanam at its premises on April 17 from 8:00 p.m. with the dedicated involvement of a wide cross-section of the Telugu community in Jamshedpur.
The event was conducted through procession of Lord Rama from Tinplate Kali Mandir to Tinplate Andhra Club, wherein women devotees participated actively. The Sita Ram Kalyanamseva was offered by five married couples (Pavani & Srinivas Reddy, Gyaneswari &Venkat Rao, Vijayalakshmi & Suryachandra Rao, Anita & Vinod Kumar, Sujata& Sai Srinivas Rao) and the puja was offered by Telugu purohit.
A large number of devotees turned up to witness the Sri Sita Ram Kalyanam. Such was the strength of women devotees who turned up, that no hall could contain them all.
It may not be out of place to mention the Tinplate Andhra Club has been performing Sri Sita Ram Kalyanam for many years and this is the 69th one.
Hundreds of devotees witnessed the event and were later offered pulihara and halva prasad by the committee members of Andhra Club.
Sri Rama Pattabhishkammahotsavam will be performed on April 19 from 10:00 a.m.
