Jamshedpur: Magistrate-cum-District Land Acquisition Officer Gunjan Kumari, along with Station In-charge Suresh Prasad, reviewed law and order arrangements at the Telco Police Station ahead of the upcoming Ram Navami and Eid celebrations.
Members of the Telco Police Station Peace Committee, Ram Navami Akhara Committees, Chhath Ghat Committees, and Mosque Committees attended the meeting. During the review, Gunjan Kumari emphasized the administration’s commitment to maintaining peace, harmony, and accountability throughout the festive period.
Station In-charge Suresh Prasad directed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply and proper sanitation during Ram Navami processions and Eid prayers at mosques. He also instructed teams to prune trees along procession routes and ensure that processions conclude within the stipulated time.
Senior Central Peace Committee member Nandlal Singh moderated the meeting and introduced representatives from various Akhara Committees. He urged committee office-bearers to renew their licenses in advance and submit volunteer lists to the police station to improve coordination.
Shahid Parvez, President of Barinagar Telco Mosque, and senior Congress leader Riyazuddin Khan addressed the gathering, shared updates on Eid preparations, and stressed the need to maintain communal harmony.
Akhara Committee representatives urged the administration to provide water tankers on time and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply. They also raised concerns over traffic congestion caused by roadside parking of heavy vehicles in areas such as Jemco and called for corrective measures.
Several members, including Kalyani Sharan, D.D. Tripathi, Om Prakash Upadhyay, Chandrabhan Singh, Ajay Singh, Baldev Rajak, and Alam Taj, also spoke and called for coordinated efforts to ensure smooth celebrations.
Representatives of Tata Motors attended the meeting and assured support in facilitating necessary arrangements.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to maintain law and order and ensure peaceful celebrations in the city.
