Jamshedpur, November 21: The Jamshedpur Super League (JSL), India’s largest and most diverse grassroots football festival, witnessed an action-packed day as the U-13 and U-15 categories officially kicked off today across the city. With competitive fixtures, standout wins, and a fair share of tightly contested draws, the opening day showcased the depth of young talent emerging from Jamshedpur’s footballing ecosystem.
In the U-13 division, several teams stamped their authority early. Gyan Ganga Patamda Blue recorded a commanding 5–0 victory over Armoury Red Devils, while Tinplate Cobra Crew secured a dominant 4–0 win over Tinplate Lion. Kishore Sangh Kadma also impressed with a 4–1 triumph against Tata Power Alig. Meanwhile, matches like D.F.C.C. 1–1 Tinplate Rainbows added balance to the day with well-fought draws that highlighted the competitive nature of the age group.
The U-15 category delivered equally high-intensity football. Telco FC (Blue) produced one of the biggest results of the day with a 6–0 win over Dhatkidih Lion Heart, while KPS School’s 4–0 victory over Jamshedpur Strikers FC U-15 stood out for its attacking display. LPS Loyola U-14 also made a strong statement, defeating Dhatkidih JFC Iron 4–0. The group witnessed notable draws as well, including Adityapur Community C (Blue) 0–0 Jamshedpur Football School Green and Armoury Phoenix Platoon 0–0 S.M Lucky.
The Jamshedpur Super League continues to establish itself as a model grassroots and community-driven football system. With more than 2,000 participants across children’s categories and community leagues involving mothers, fathers, coaches, and veterans, JSL remains one of the most expansive football movements in the country. Its structure ensures steady engagement throughout the year, helping keep football alive in Jamshedpur’s neighbourhoods and strengthening the development pathway for young players.
With strong starts in both the U-13 and U-15 categories, the JSL will resume with more fixtures next week as the league progresses through its six months-long football carnival.
