TEEP extends farewell to former Tata Steel VP Chanakya Chaudhary

Jamshedpur, July 14:  The Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP) team organised a farewell for Chanakya Chaudhary, Chairperson of the Executive Committee, TEEP, and former Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel.

The event, held at United Club, Jamshedpur on July 10, was graced by Peeyush Gupta, Vice President, TQM, GSP and Supply Chain; D.B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President – Corporate Services; Tripti Srivastava, Chief, TQM & CQA; and Sourav Roy, CEO, Tata Steel Foundation.

Also present were Lakshmi Sharat, Director, Kerala Public Schools, and Priti Sinha, Principal, Gulmohur High School, along with members of the TEEP team and representatives from the Tata Steel Foundation (TSF).

The team extended heartfelt appreciation to Chanakya Chaudhary for his invaluable mentorship and support. Peeyush Gupta highlighted the significance of the programme in driving excellence in education, while D.B. Sundara Ramam reaffirmed Tata Steel’s continued commitment to foster quality in education.

Chanakya Chaudhary reflected on his journey in the domain of Quality and Excellence, acknowledging the influence of mentors such as Dr. J.J. Irani and B. Muthuraman. He conveyed his best wishes for the future of the Tata Education Excellence Programme.

Started in 2003, TEEP enables schools to improve the quality of education through a calibrated approach. This program is currently run in schools in and around Jamshedpur. Schools voluntarily participate in a year-long engagement, after which they are assessed on an education excellence model adapted from the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence criteria.
