Adityapur M Type Durga Puja
Saraikela, July 16: Preparations for one of the most awaited Durga Puja celebrations in Adityapur (Malkhan Singh) have officially begun. The Sri Sri Durga Puja Committee, under Praveen Seva Sansthan, conducted the Bhumi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) on Tuesday at the M Type Ground, Adityapur-01, marking the start of pandal construction.
This pandal is known for its artistic brilliance and has earned a prominent place among the major attractions in the Steel City. This year, it promises to be even more captivating with a theme inspired by the palaces and rural heritage of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Standing nearly 70 feet tall, the pandal is being crafted under the supervision of Ashok Kumar Dey from the renowned Parvati Decorator of Mecheda, Bengal, with the support of 60 skilled artisans.
Adding to the grandeur, the electrical decorations will be designed by Biju Da’s expert team from Kolkata. Idols of Maa Durga and other deities are also being sculpted by artisans from Kolkata, ensuring a blend of artistic finesse and cultural richness.
The Bhumi Pujan event saw the presence of several key members of the Puja Committee, including Chief Patron and former MLA Arvind Kumar Singh, Patron A.K. Srivastava, President Vinayak Singh, and Ankur Singh. Notable figures such as senior Congress leader Rishi Mishra, Shashi Mishra, Bhagwan Singh, Chandan Singh, Jagdish Narayan Choubey, and others also attended the ceremony.
The grand theme, skilled craftsmanship, and community involvement promise to make this year’s Durga Puja celebration a visual and cultural spectacle in Adityapur.
