Jamshedpur: Team Vice President (Engg. & Projects) defeated Team MD (Tinplate) to be crowned the winner of the 4th Tata Cup Football Tournament.
In the final VP (Engg & Projects) beat MD Tinplate by 3 goals to 2 in Tie Breaker.
Tata Steel sports department conducted 4th Tata Cup Football Tournament for Sr. Executives of TSL Group on 1st June 2019 at Tata Football Academy ground under flood light.
170 Sr. Executives of Tata
Steel and group companies representing seventeen teams participated in
tournament. The participating teams include Non
Works (CEO & MD), VP (SM), VP (SS), VP (RM), VP (Engg & Projects), (F&A), VP
(HRM), VP (IM), MD (JUSCO), MD (ISWPL), MD Tata Pigments, VP (T & NMB), MD
Tinplate, MD JCAPCPL, MD TRF, COO (Tata Sponge) and MD Jamipol.
The Award for fastest goal was received by J Pushpit Pallav of MD (JUSCO) team at 1. 34 seconds against VP (Engg & P). Best Defender was awarded to Md. Atif of MD Tinplate team. Best Forward was won by Arvind Kr Singh of VP (E&P) team, Best Goal Keeper was won by Manjesh Jha of MD Tinplate team, Highest Goal Scorer was awarded to Anand Chandani of VP (Engg & Proj) team. He scored 4 goals for his side.
Carlos Santamarina, head coach TFA along with Sandeep Bhattacharya Chief (F&A), Tata Steel distributed the prizes to the winners. Saptam De and Navin J Sundi and Rohit Singh, AIFF Qualified Referees officiated the tournament. Avinash Kumar and V Ramana were the commentators.
Entire tournament was conducted under the guidance of Ashish Kumar, Head Sports. All employees and Staffs of TFA and Sports were present on the occasion.
TMH and Security Department supported in making the event successful. Mukul Choudhary, Chief Sports Excellence Centres, Bagicha Singh, V. Ramkrishna, Sr. Manager (TFA), PK Paul, Ajit Singh, Satish Singh, B K Jena, Ashok Tudu and Rashid supported in making the tournament a grand success.
