Jharkhand Shanti Yagna at Shanidev Mandir

Jamshedpur, June 3: Jharkhand Shanti Yagna (Hawan) was performed at Shanidev Mandir on Satyanarayan Mandir Road near Dukhu Market in Jugsalai. The prayers commenced at 7 am with Nav Grah Puja (worship of the nine planets) and Hawan Yagna and continued for 12 hours concluding at 7 pm. This special Yagna was held on the auspicious occasion of Amavasya. Renowned citizens performed a special Hawan between 5 pm and 6 pm. The whole program was organized under the leadership of Damodar Shani Baba.

Ashok Pandit supervised the Shanti Yagna rituals performed by 11 priests. A large number of devotees joined in the prayers and took the blessings of Shani Baba for peace and prosperity. Consecrated food was distributed among devotees from 11 am to 5 pm.

A programme of devotional songs performed by local artistes Manoj Parikh, Shraddha Das and Saroj Parikh enhanced the prevailing pious atmosphere. The programme continued till 11 pm.

The dignitaries and guests included Jharkhand minister Saryu Roy, legislator Menka Sardar, cabinet minister Arjun Munda�s wife Mira Munda, BJP leader Anil Modi, Vimal Jalan, social worker Moolchand Sahu, Nirmal Kabra, Chandragupt Singh, Ram Bachan, Bali Mardi and Mukhiya Mayawati Tudu.

The organizing committee headed by Damodar Shani Baba included Mataji Sunita Sharma, Rambachan, Ashok Sharma, Amarnath, Nand Kishore Thakur, Keshav Singh, Manoj Puria, Abhishek Agrawal, Hemant Agrawal, Saurav Agrawal, Manoj Parikh, Priyanshu Sharma, Munna Nepali, Vimal Agrawal, Billu Sharma and Raju Sonekar.
