Jamshedpur: In order to ensure compliance of the protocol of Covid-19 at the Durga Puja pandals a team led by City SP Subhash Chandra Jat, SDO Nitish Kumar and ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal are conducting surprise inspection.
During their visit of various puja pandals in the urban area, the officials reviewed the status of compliance of the guidelines issued by the state government and also informed the revised order of the state government to the puja committees.

Puja committees were informed that the Disaster Management Department has made two amendments to its guidelines issued on October 1 regarding Durga Puja – a total of 15 people including Puja Pandal priest, organiser, their associates and devotees at one time in the pavilion can see the statue. Along with amending the earlier order, loudspeakers have also been allowed to be played during the puja.
Now from 7 am to 9 pm, chanting of mantras, recitations, aarti etc. will be done through loudspeakers at the place of worship. Its sound should not exceed 55 decibels. A loudspeaker cannot be played within a radius of 100 meters from the court and hospital. Pre-recorded or digital recording is not allowed to be played.
ADM Law and Order Nandkishore Lal also inspected various immersion ghats and inspected access routes, barricades on the ghats, cleanliness etc. today.
Meanwhile, the East Singhbhum district administration has come out with a plan about the traffic arrangement to be ensured for both the heavy commercial vehicles as well as the private vehicle owners during the starting from October 22 till the immersion of idols on October 26.
According to the plan, movement of heavy vehicles will remain restricted in the city from 11 am to 4 am next day from October 22 till October 25. On October 26, the day on the day of the immersion, the movement of heavy vehicles will remain restricted from 6 am till 11.30 pm. From 4 am till 11 am, when there will be no restrictions the heavy vehicles can enter into the city and also leave it without any hurdle
