Team Bhalotia claims victory, plans to make Singhbhum Chamber paperless

Jamshedpur, Sept. 24: The biennial election of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will be held on Tuesday, September 24. Team Bhalotia the ruling party claimed victory on the eve of the election.

Ashok Bhalotia who has been elected unopposed for the second term said that his team has worked in the last two years and will continue to work at an increased pace during the second term.

“Singhbhum Chamber office has been renovated and we have built a corporate style office. On lines of the central government promoting paperless work culture we have plans to SCCI paperless for which detailed discussions will be held after the new committee takes charge,” said Bhalotia.

Addressing a press meet on the eve of the elections at Rajasthan Bhawan in Bistupur, President-elect of SCCI informed that chamber has been standing with the traders in ups and downs and will continue to do same in the near future.

Counting achievements Bhalotia said, with rising cyber crime SCCI organised cyber crime workshop twice where SSP addressed the traders.

“We have been at the forefront protesting against the ill condition of NH-33. We held sit-in near Kali Mandir in Pardih and the effect was shown as Union Minister Nitin Gadkari himself took up the matter and now the work is going on at a rapid pace. One the four-lane NH-33 is complete we can reach Ranchi airport in 90 to 105 minutes”, he opined.

“Dhalbhumgarh airport will around 3 to 4 years to be fully operational till then we should have good quality NH-33 so that air connectivity can improve”, added Bhalotia.

He went on to say that our aim is to take Singhbhum Chamber to newer heights. Like sector 5 in Salt Lake Kolkata, we want to make Jamshedpur IT hub so that our children don�t have to move to other cities for jobs.

Current General Secretary of SCCI fighting for the post of Vice-President Vijay Anand Moonka also predicted a win for his team. He informed that during 100 working weeks we organised Aadhar camp and trade license camp for the traders. Taking into count the Digital India initiative of Government of India Singhbhum Chamber for the first time started e-voting. “Jamshedpur is purely dependent on Tata Steel and Tata Motors and we need other companies in and around the city. We held talks with 17 world class automobile companies to put up their units in 60-70 km radius of Jamshedpur so that the whole of Kolhan can be benefitted”, added Moonka.    

Former President of SCCI and mentor to Team Bhalotia Suresh Sonthalia said, “We run SCCI with pure democratic system and hold elections every two-years. All have contributed to make SCCI what it is today.”

“We will continue to work for the betterment of the traders who have shown tremendous support and we will register a landslide voictory again,” added Sonthalia. 

Team Bhalotia has already won five posts unopposed and will be hoping for triumph in remaining six posts of office bearers and 30 working committee members.
