68th AGM of Singhbhum Chamber remains peaceful

Jamshedpur, Sept. 23: Kolhan’s biggest and oldest trade body Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held its 68th Annual general Meeting at Chamber Bhawan in Bistupur on Monday. President of SCCI Ashok Bhalotia presided over the AGM while General Secretary Vijay Anand Moonka presented the secretarial report.

The Annual general Meeting was a quiet affair as it started at around 11 am and continued till 2 pm. During the meeting the agenda of the coming years was decided.

Several issues like tax, airport, direct trains to and from Tatanagar and other basic facilities that have been lacking were discussed during the AGM. Traders in large number from all over Kolhan were in attendance.

President of SCCI Ashok Bhalotia addressing the gathering said, “We have worked for the traders during the last two years and will continue to do the same.”

“We will pressurize the government to tackle the issues of the traders with connectivity on top of the agenda,” added Bhalotia.

Several suggestions also came in from the members.

Padam Agarwal of the opposition expressed his pain over nomination withdrawal. The biennial election of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will be held on Tuesday, September 24 after which the new committee will take charge.�

The E-Voting is on since September 20 and will continue till September 24. For others voting through ballot paper will be held at the Chamber Bhawan.��
