Kolkata, Sept 28: South Eastern Railway announced regulation of train services due to Non-Interlocking (NI) work for yard remodeling at Kolaghat station under Kharagpur Division from October 2 to 15, 2025.
A large number of suburban EMU services will remain cancelled on various dates between October 2 and 15. Long-distance trains such as 18615/18616 HTE–Howrah Express, 18011/18012 Howrah–Chakradharpur Express, and 18015/18014 Howrah–Bokaro Express will also remain cancelled on October 10.
Several mail/express trains will run late by 60 to 180 minutes during this period. Affected trains include 12905 Porbandar–Shalimar Express, 22202 Puri–Sealdah Express, 12129 Pune–Howrah Express, 22850 Secunderabad–Shalimar Express, 12809 CSMT–Howrah Mail and multiple Puri–Howrah services, among others.
SER has advised passengers to check train schedules before planning travel. The yard remodeling work is a vital infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving safety and efficiency at Kolaghat.
