Jamshedpur, Dec 22: Tatanagar railway station has received 14001/2015 certification. It has got recognition as an eco-friendly station. Along with it, Rourkela and Jharsugora stations have also got the certification. This was informed by Railway officials in Garden Reach, Kolkata.
Sources said the three stations are equipped with a number of facilities and services for passengers. Earlier, Ranchi, Digha, Adra, Bankura, Bishnupur, Purulia and Bokaro railway stations have received the certification. Efforts are on to develop Kharagpur, Mehda, Santragachhi, Bagan, Panskura, Shalimar, Jhargram, Midnapore, Balasore and Hatia stations as eco-friendly stations. Bottle crushing machines would be installed at stations which are to be made eco-friendly, sources said.
