Cancellation of Local MEMU Trains
Railway officials informed that four pairs of daily MEMU passenger trains have been cancelled on different dates owing to infrastructure maintenance and operational work.
The cancelled services include the 68079/68080 Bhojudih-Chandrapura-Bhojudih MEMU on May 19, 22 and 24; the 68090/68089 Adra-Midnapore-Adra MEMU on May 22 and 24; the 68077/68078 Adra-Bhaga-Adra MEMU on May 21 and 24; and the 68046/68045 Asansol-Adra-Asansol MEMU on May 22.
Tatanagar-Linked Services to Run Short Route
In a major impact on passengers from the Kolhan region, several trains connected to Tatanagar Junction railway station will either terminate early or originate from alternate stations during the maintenance period.
The affected trains include the 68055/68056 Asansol-Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU for journeys commencing on May 20 and 23, and the 68056/68060 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU for journeys beginning on May 22.

Tatanagar-Hatia Express Diverted
Long-distance passengers travelling on the 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express will also experience route changes. Railway authorities stated that the train, for journeys commencing on May 19, 20 and 23, will run on a diverted route via Chandil, Gunda Bihar and Muri instead of its regular alignment.
Railways Express Regret
Expressing regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers, a senior railway official said the developmental works are essential for strengthening railway infrastructure and ensuring long-term operational safety in the Adra Division.
Passengers have been advised to verify their train schedules and live running status through official railway enquiry services and the NTES mobile application before commencing their journeys.
