Jamshedpur, Jan 6: A delegation of 21 residents of Jamshedpur met the Director of Tatanagar railway station, Raghuvansh Kumar, and demanded that the Jammu Tawi Express train be run from here on daily basis.

The Director, after speaking to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM), said the DRM of Chakradharpur had sent his recommendation for daily operation of Jammu Tawi Express from Tatanagar to the General Manager of South Eastern Railway Archana Joshi.

At present, Jammu Tawi Express runs thrice a week from Tatanagar. Consequently, passengers traveling to Vaishno Devi and Ludhiana have to face a lot of inconvenience.

The Director said Jallianwala Bagh Express was temporarily stopped due to cold and fog. He said the train service would resume once the weather improves.
