Jamshedpur, Aug 9: In a significant step towards providing a more enjoyable and convenient travel experience, the South Eastern Railway (SER) has unveiled plans for the permanent augmentation of several of its trains. The augmentation initiative, set to take effect in August 2023, aims to improve passenger comfort and accommodate growing demand.

The popular 12222 Howrah-Pune Duronto Express is all set to receive a noteworthy enhancement. Starting from August 12, 2023, an additional AC 2 Tier Coach will be added, promising a more luxurious and comfortable journey for passengers.
The 12221 Pune-Howrah Duronto Express is not far behind in this enhancement drive. Commencing from August 14, 2023, an extra AC 2 Tier Coach will be introduced, offering passengers an upgraded travel experience.
Travelers on the 12262 Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Duronto Express can look forward to a more deluxe journey starting from August 11, 2023. The train will incorporate a new AC 2 Tier Coach, elevating the travel experience for all.
Similarly, the 12261 CSMT Mumbai-Howrah Duronto Express will witness augmentation with an additional AC 2 Tier Coach, effective from August 13, 2023. This enhancement is expected to further enhance passenger convenience.
The 20822 Santragachi-Pune Humsafar Express is geared up for a significant boost. Beginning August 12, 2023, an extra AC 3 Tier Coach will be attached, aiming to provide a more spacious and comfortable journey for passengers.
Rounding off the augmentation list is the 20821 Pune-Santragachi Humsafar Express. From August 14, 2023, passengers on this train can enjoy an upgraded travel experience with the addition of an AC 3 Tier Coach.
