Jamshedpur, March 11: Tatanagar Government Railway Police (GRP) department has tightened its socks to ensure foolproof security in its area of jurisdiction in the run-up to Lok Sabha elections.
A meeting of GRP officials was held to discuss security and poll preparedness on Monday. It was chaired by the Superintendent of Rail Police. It was decided to increase police visibility in and around Tatanagar railway station and keep an eye on passengers and visitors. Various steps are being taken to improve security of passengers. A host of instructions were given to the GRP jawans on this occasion, sources said.
