Jamshedpur Civil Court advocates go on three-day strike

Jamshedpur: All advocates of Jamshedpur Civil Court went on a three day strike from today in support of their various demands. District Bar Association officials appealed to all advocates to support the agitation in the larger interest of the Bar and the common people.

DBA officials said the current scenario at the Civil Court had become dismal. They said the clients were at the receiving end due to inordinate delay in issuance of certified copies by the department officials concerned. Accused of various cases have to suffer consequently, theys said.

The advocates further stressed the need to improve the functioning of Lok Adalats and mediation proceedings in larger public interest. They threatened to go on an indefinite strike in case the situation does not improve.
